Welcome to Provision Co.

The Provision Co. story
The Lodge at Bow Lake has a long history of providing services to travellers along the Icefields corridor. In the early 1900s, The Lodge’s founder, Jimmy Simpson, was working as a trapper and outfitter when he came across the picturesque Bow Lake, nestled in the mountains. Enchanted by the area's beauty, he vowed to one day build a “shack” on the shores of the lake.
In 1923, the “shack,” now known as The Lodge at Bow Lake, opened its doors. It became the centre of Jimmy’s outfitting business and a popular stopping point for travellers, offering shelter, a warm meal, and general provisions to those passing through the area on their various explorations.
To this day, Jimmy Simpson's legacy endures at The Lodge at Bow Lake’s Provision Co, named to honour Jimmy’s original trading post and the countless travellers he provisioned. Much like Jimmy Simpson did, we happily offer all your required provisions for a day exploring the mountains and the beautiful Bow Lake area.
Come grab a coffee, a snack or a small memento of your special time in the mountains, all while enjoying the same magnificent scenery that Jimmy did so many years ago.
